CREATIVE DIRECTION, BRAND STRATEGY, PRODUCT DESIGN & MANAGEMENT

Levitate is a multi-platform meditation platform reimagining how wellbeing is experienced through immersive environments, sound, and narrative. Designed for next-generation headsets and digital ecosystems, the product moves beyond traditional mindfulness apps into fully embodied, sensory journeys.

I shifted the brand away from the conventions of wellness minimalism toward a more cinematic, world-building approach — positioning Levitate as a portal rather than a product, and transforming the experience into something immersive, transportive and deeply personal.

Because the environment was initially designed for 3D spaces, I did not try and mimic reality nor attempt to pull us too far away. Therefore came up with the “The realm between realms” a space that bridges reality and the virtual. To abide by that ethos we included elements that could be also seem in the real world. For example, using real musicians for the soundtrack and including real time moon phases in the environment.

When designing environments and thinking about the overall creative direction, I had to be cognizant of the technical limitations. Since I was designing for the Meta Quest, I didn’t have the ability to add in all the elements I wanted in the environments. Therefore, it needed to be translated over to the marketing and other platforms. I began by stripping away everything in the environment and highlighting the most important components in nature that felt personal to me. Water, trees and moss. Each one carried its own sensory world — the sound of ripples, light refracting on the surface, the feeling of a breeze, the depth of a waterfall.

The direction needed to be ethereal but grounded in the natural inspired by everyday natural phenomena. I wanted people to feel inspired to meditate but also able to use the tools they received in VR in their everyday spaces. Also needed to de-stigmatize the the negative outlook on

I managed a team of over 20 people that included, psychologists, musicians, developers, graphic and 3D designers .

  • Inspired by magic realism, I wanted the photographs and video shots to evoke a sense of magic while demonstrating everyday phenomena. This led to overexposure and highly saturated imagery. I wanted to shot it on film to counteract the futurism of the headsets and maintain the ethos of combining ancient and new.
